Vanderbilt Believes Hype and Falls in Starkville

Vanderbilt(13) @ Mississippi State-Mississippi State 17- 14

Vanderbilt- Well, maybe this Vandy thing is not for real…maybe they started believing their own press or maybe….the SEC is just rugged. Whatever is the answer the Commodores could not solve the Mississippi State Defense. The offense truly struggled as they threw 2 interceptions AND had only 9 first downs all game. The offensive struggles were enough to give the ‘Dores their first loss of the season…Now they go into Athens to prove to the world that Vandy is a worthwhile team…

Mississippi State- Typical Mississippi State….Pounding, thudding and huring their way to victory. The offense held the ball for nearly 40 minutes. The Bulldogs forced two turnovers and did not commit any themselves…Don’t coun this team out or as an easy victory. Coach Sly Croom has this team in every game and could easily be 3-2 or 4-1 if they had some breaks go their way…Next on their sleight is a desperate Tennessee team…winner gets a hope at bowl eligibility…loser makes their path A LOT more difficult!
