Georgia Wins and gives Tennessee worst start in 20 years

Tennessee @ Georgia(10)- Georgia 26-14

Georgia- Coming off the bye the Dawgs came out against rival Tennessee and dominated in every phase of the game. Georgia’s defense held Tennessee to only 10 first downs all game and constantly forced them into 3rd and long field positions. The offense also bounced back with force as Matt Stafford threw for over 300 yards. The offense overall, amassed 458 total yards and controlled the game by holding onto the ball for nearly fifty minutes of the sixty minute game! Georgia will now welcome the UPSTART Vanderbilt Commadores who have played them close in recent years and is coming in with an upset on their mind.

Tennessee- It’s hard to believe that it has gotten this BAD this FAST in Tennessee. They are off to their worst start in 20 years and for only the 2nd time in the Phil Fulmer era, the Vols are 0-3 in SEC play. Rocky Top’s offense continued to struggle, as the offensive lines lack luster blocking performance caused the Tennessee team to only gain 1 total yard on the ground. The lack of a running game seemed to lead to the Volunteer demise. Tennessee will now host Mississippi State and hope to get their first win in SEC play…if they don’t, maybe the boosters fire coach Phil Fulmer mid season…something needs to change in Rocky Top.
