Big Blue Madness Opens The BIG Kentucky Weekend

With Big Blue Madness kicking off the excitement to a BIG FOOTBALL weekend in the Bluegrass, Rupp Arena was filled tonight to view the new look Kentucky Wildcats basketball squad..

Tonight’s theme a will be “NEW” and “RESURGENCE”. In what is now the second year of the Billy Gillespie era, his plan has been installed and his players have come to play for his philosophy. Entering tonight, Gillespie had an excitement in his voice as he stated how this team was the MOST conditioned that he has been apart of.

The well-conditioned unit should be an important factor to the Cats early success this season, as last years loss to lesser opponents seemed to be the because of a lack of conditioning.

To EMPHASIZE the theme of NEW, the Kentucky Wildcats will also be changing their threads to a new look designed exclusively by the Nike Corporation. The new uniforms will lend to the traditions of the Kentucky bluegrass region and pay homage to teams of the past.

With a change in personnel and uniforms, the season begins tonight with the fan spectacle that is Big BLUE Madness!
